a collaborative exhibition
Edward Crumpton’s practice synthesizes the Post-Impressionists’ interest of the great outdoors, and the Land Artists’ approach to travel and materialising work within the land. The walking he performs creates a personal historical journey from which he interplays natural materials and mark-making techniques into his drawing and paintings. Ih his most recent "art adventures" he has travelled eight thousand miles across the great American landscape doing a drawing every six hours, and has walked the 101 mile "Two Moors Way" marking each mile with a sketch.
